Graceling...

Graceling by Kristin Cashore was a fun read. It is similar to Hunger Games (although not even close to as good!!) in that there is a female protagonist! She is pretty fun! Anyway, it is kind of a series, the next one (which is actually a prequel) is called Fire. Let me know if you like it if you read it!

The Hunger Games...

This may be my new FAVORITE book... at least for now! It is sooooooo good!! I seriously read it in a day! I totally neglected my kids, husband and house to finish it! It is a series and the second book Catching Fire is supposed to be even better! I am waiting for that book very (im)patiently!!

The Giver

This is the book we read for book club last month. I am sure you may have already read it in school sometime, I think I read it in like 9th grade or something. Anyway, it is really good. It is just a quick little read. If you need a good light, airplane/travel book this one would be great!

These is my words...

Okay... Read this book!!! Go to the library right now if you have to! I LOVED this book! I don't normally like books that are in the form of journals or letters, I find them pretty boring... but like I said I loved this book! I am still thinking about it three days after I have finished it! Even though she is not a pioneer she did live in the territories and I think it gives you a little taste as to what the pioneers lived through and their trials. I promise you won't be disappointed! oh... and when Gen gets back she needs to read it, it is a good little romance for her!

Dead until Dark...

So I think everyone I know is into this series right now. Everyone told me that of you love Twilight you will love this book. It is just like Twilight but doesn't leave out the "adult" details. I thought this was a fun book but no where near as good as Twilight!! I think I heard there are like seven books or something in this series and I am sure I will read them because they are fun but they are not my favorite!! Or, and apparently there is a movie or TV show or something based on it?!
Just a side note: I started a series called Evernight by Claudia gray a while ago and I liked it so much better than this one.
Okay, I could go on and on but that is all for today!! Happy reading!

Peony in love...

I absolutly LOVED this book! Go read it!!! After about the first hundred pages or so you may hate it and want to throw it accross the room like I did... but keep going! It is so worth it!!

The road...

This is probably the weirdest book I have ever read. You never even know what really happens in the book or who the main character is!! crazy! If you are in the mood for something scary and weird this is a good one!

Flowers for algernon...

hmmm.... I don't know why that picture is so small sorry! Anyway, this book is written by Daniel Keys if you can't read that! I really liked this book. It is a Science fiction book, but not some weird like alien or... um vampire book! It is about a guy who is mentally disabled and he undergoes an experiment to make him smarter. It is a fun little short read and I really liked it!

Pretties

Ok so I know Lacey and Gen have already read this one. This was my July read. I thought it was just ok, I really liked Uglies better but I don't like where the books are going. They are kinda slow but fun to read. I like their language and the ideas of the "Pretty"world that went into the book.

"R" Book Club Blog!

Hey sistas! I thought this would be a fun little extension of our recipe blog. (since we are so good at that one)

So if you have book suggestions post them on here.

It will be like our own little book club even though we wont ever get together. We can still comment on the books that are posted and say how we liked it and what we thought.

So what do you think? I am excited for it!
